Avi Vachnis has over 12 years of experience in design, develop and delivery of carrier grade products to enterprises and Telcos. Leading R&D teams with a great passion to technologies and innovation.

He is leading the Carrier PaaS team in CloudBand, an NFV cloud platform for service providers. He is driving the architecture and development in the PaaS domain while graduating Telcos' NFV journey and addressing VNF applications' emerged requirements from a cloud.
He is an active member in TOSCA TC and led the networking sub group.
Prior leading the PaaS domain, Avi led the Web Services domain in CloudBand with a special interest in security.

Prior joining Alcatel-Lucent, Avi was the Head of R&D division in NGSoft, developing e2e products for the internet and enterprise markets.
Before that, as the NMS division director, he has develop varies network management solutions for service providers and ISVs.

Avi holds a B.Sc in software engineering from ORT Braude College of Engineering in Karmiel, Israel.

Apart from that, he is passionate for soccer and cross fingers these days to Cleveland Cavaliers and King James in the NBA playoff games.
