Software Defined Infrastructure: Provisioning and Managing an OpenStack Cloud

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

OpenStack is an open source project to enable enterprise and service provider building their own IaaS infrastructure, and it is fundamentally changing the landscape of enterprise IT.  Software defined infrastructure embraces the wave of software enabling technologies that fundamentally change the economics of compute, storage and networking. These visions are clear and widely adopted, and executions are happening.

This talk will introduce Intel s SDI initiatives that provide the enabling ingredients to cloud computing and software defined infrastructure; Huawei s deployment Ops initiatives that automate provision of distributed system, such as OpenStack infrastructure, on bare-metal resources; and Canonical s Juju initiatives that provide the application automation on cloud. Audience will get a reference design for thinking toward their own software defined infrastructure roadmap, from choosing hardware components all the way to the application management, with the great flexibility that cloud and SDI initiatives promised.

(Intel, Canonical, Huawei)
