What Should We Take into Consideration to Build a Production OpenStack Cloud?

Intel IT has been working on OpenStack for years. Bringing OpenStack Cloud from Lab to production is not an easy job. There is a lot of experience and stories during this journey. In this session, we will go through the key elements when adopting OpenStack as production cloud regarding the evolvement of cloud architecture, team culture, operation model and other consideration.

We'll talk about the journey of cloud architecture evolvement combined with cost saving consideration and how we do the trade-off based on limited resources to finally achieve an Enterprise level high availability OpenStack production with low cost.  We'll share how we grow our team to support this undertaking by establish the culture of knowledge sharing, community contribution and agile adoption. Furthermore,  Let's see what kind of team is qualified for OpenStack DevOps team. Operation model changes with the cloud scale out. It's totally different when you operate different size cloud. We'll share the pain point we met before and the direction we choose now which can help us to support Enterprise level OpenStack.
