No open source project is built without incorporating the work of others. Even the smallest seemly insignificant python libray can play a crucial role in the success or failure your project, even the choice of languages you use to implement your project can have a huge impact. No one can afford to build in isolation. 

One of the keys to a successful open source projects is choosing the other technologies and communities that will work best for your project to collaborate and ensuring the success of others.

Learning to play well with others, lending resources to ensure the success of technology projects that are keys to success. Being open to input from other projects are just a few of the essesential ingredients to the 'open source way'.

It's also the only way to ensure that your project will have enough resources to successfully scale and mature into a stable, trusted project that others can easily contribute to, implement and successfully build upon themselves. 

In this session, I'll share OpenShift's experiences collaborating across open source communities (OpenStack, Heat, Solum, Docker, Google/Kubernetes, Puppet, .Net and others) and some of the lessons we've learned and practices we've put in place at Red Hat.
