In this presentation from practice, BMW Car IT and Intel tell the story how they used home-grown OpenStack clusters as build farms for their automotive software development. The combination of Jenkins and OpenStack made it possible to scale up the number of build targets into the hundreds while keeping commit cycles in line with CI expectations. This talk will focus on lessons learned and detail the effects of performance gained by scaling core numbers and advancing CPU generations.
